Manchester firm of accountants Jack Ross are celebrating their 60th anniversary by sponsoring a fundraising campaign which aims to raise \u00a3250,000 for The New Children\u2019s Hospital Appeal.Fronted by Dragons\u2019 Den star Theo Paphitis, the Many Hands Campaign will engage 250 businesses to each raise \u00a31000 for the Appeal over 12 months.Peter Black, managing partner at Jack Ross Chartered Accountants, said helping the charity to raise \u00a3250,000 was the perfect way to celebrate their milestone anniversary.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cJack Ross has been advising clients in the north west for 60 years and we wanted to do something very special to honour the occasion.<\/td>\n

\u201cWe considered throwing a party but then the thought struck us that the money would be better spent on a charitable cause, so that once the celebration is over, there is something left behind of real benefit.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this case it is helping The New Children\u2019s Hospital Appeal to fund state-of-the-art equipment and parental accommodation facilities at what will be the biggest children\u2019s hospital in the UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Many Hands Campaign is an excellent initiative and we are very proud to be sponsoring it and also to be one of those companies who have pledged to raise \u00a31000 over the year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jack Ross Chartered Accountants, whose office is at Barnfield House, on The Approach, Blackfriars Road, was founded in 1948, when accountant and ex-serviceman Jack Ross took over a practice he had been brought in to manage.<\/p>\n

Trusted by many leading city centre barristers, Jack Ross has since built up a reputation for an unrivalled personal service to its wide ranging client base.<\/p>\n

The New Children\u2019s Hospital Appeal aims to raise \u00a320M to help fund projects within the new children\u2019s hospital currently being built in Manchester, on a site next Manchester Royal Infirmary, in Oxford Road.<\/p>\n

The two main areas are ensuring that the very best equipment is available for diagnosis and treatment and providing accommodation so that parents can stay close to their child during treatment.<\/p>\n

Theo Paphitis will officially launch the Many Hands Campaign at an event on Wednesday June 11 at Manchester Town Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And also, thanks to the Many Hands Campaign, he will be helping one of the region\u2019s businesses to flourish. For Theo will join a panel of business experts who will judge the winner of the most innovative fundraising idea.<\/p>\n

The winning company will receive one day\u2019s free tailored business training from Nick Robinson \u2013 in association with the Institute of Directors North West.<\/p>\n
