{"id":950,"date":"2014-02-12T17:04:08","date_gmt":"2014-02-12T17:04:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/my-brains.co.uk\/jackross\/blog\/?p=950"},"modified":"2014-07-28T09:53:55","modified_gmt":"2014-07-28T09:53:55","slug":"employment-allowance-to-provide-5-5bn-boost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/my-brains.co.uk\/jackross\/employment-allowance-to-provide-5-5bn-boost\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment Allowance to provide \u00a35.5bn boost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the run up to the introduction of the Employment Allowance \u2013 which will reduce every employer&#8217;s national insurance bill by \u00a32,000 \u2013 HMRC has released new figures about how much the scheme could save UK businesses and charities.<\/p>\n<p>The Government estimates that the tax cut will mean employers are nearly \u00a35.5 billion better off per year by the end of Parliament in 2015. This is the equivalent of \u00a3200 per employee.<\/p>\n<p>The savings come from three main areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The new Employment Allowance taking effect from April this year<\/li>\n<li>The abolition of employer national insurance for employees under the age of 21 from April 2015<\/li>\n<li>Raising the threshold before a business starts paying national insurance for an employee in April 2011.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Visiting small businesses to mark the countdown to the introduction of the Employment Allowance, Chancellor George Osborne said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSmall businesses make a vital contribution to our economy, creating jobs and stimulating growth.
